  Silicone structure sealant is divided into one component, two component, acid curing adhesive and neutral curing adhesive.


  One component silicone sealant can be directly applied to the bonding between aluminum and glass, which is hydrolyzed by absorbing moisture in the air, and the condensation reaction is cured from the surface to the inside. It requires the glue room to be clean, the temperature is not less than 23℃, the relative humidity is not less than 40%, otherwise it will affect the curing and reduce the strength of the adhesive layer.


  One component silicone glue is acidic and neutral. Acid glue releases acetic acid when curing, which corrods the film layer of coated glass produced by vacuum magnesputtering method for hidden frame curtain wall. Therefore, neutral silicone structural glue should be used.


  Two-component silicone structural adhesive must be added to the base adhesive before use, in the special glue machine fully mixed coated aluminum and glass, bonding curing.Two-component adhesives are neutral adhesives.


  Silicone structural sealant has a prominent feature.That is, there is a compatibility problem between the glue and the bonded aluminum, glass and foam strip. To do the compatibility test, this test can not be done in China for the time being.If the compatibility test results show that the structural adhesive is incompatible with one of the three materials, even during the bonding process, all the strength indexes at that time meet the requirements.After half a year or a little longer, the silicone structural adhesive will begin to change color and deteriorate into a liquid state, thus losing its bonding ability, and the glass will fall down, causing serious consequences.Therefore, in order to ensure the long-term bonding ability of silicone structural adhesive, compatibility test must be done.


  Structural adhesive refers to high strength (compression strength >65MPa, steel-steel tensile bonding strength >30MPa, shear strength >18MPa), can withstand large load, and aging resistance, fatigue resistance, corrosion resistance, stable performance in the expected life, suitable for bearing strong structural parts bonding.


  Non-structural adhesive has low strength and poor durability, and can only be used for ordinary and temporary bonding, sealing and fixing, not for structural parts bonding.
