Dimethyl silicone oil, is a kind of hydrophobic silicone material.Today, there are hundreds of derivatives of it.It has been applied in various fields such as medicine, daily chemicals, food, construction and so on.Let's take a look at the use of dimethylsilicone oil in medicine. 

    1. Preparation of acid-fast capsules.Glycerol 22.02kg, distilled water 34.13kg, dimethyl silicone oil 10kg, adding gelatin 43.85kg, and 70 ~ 80℃ dissolved under reduced pressure, often into capsules.The mixture of formaldehyde/acetone (1/60) was sprayed on the capsule to prepare the capsule. Due to the hydrophobic effect of dimethylsilicone oil, the prepared capsule was not disintegrated in acidic gastric juice for 2 hours, and dissolved in alkaline intestinal solution for 200 ~ 620 seconds. It was stable to enzyme and temperature, and had good mechanical strength.

    2. Polishing of sugar-coated tablets (light preserving agent).In the polishing operation, the Sichuan wax powder with 2% dimethyl silicone oil is added to the finished color coat tablets, polishing, sugar coated tablets than without dimethyl silicone oil, bright and beautiful color surface, and moisture-proof effect, to ensure that the sugar coated tablets in the storage period is not bleaching, not mildew.

    Dimethylsilicone oil can not only be used as a lubricant, release agent, brightener, used in leather products, electrical appliances, cosmetics, but also as a pharmaceutical ingredient, with improved drug efficacy, dimethylsilicone oil can be used for drug use, but dimethylsilicone oil is not edible.
