Since most liquid internal release agents are acidic, the following issues should be paid attention to in use:

1, in the use of acid sensitive pigments will cause color changes;

2, in the use of alkaline filler, such as calcium carbonate, acid release agent will react with it, causing the viscosity of the mixture to increase, but will not affect the release effect;

3. If the filler is aluminum hydroxide, the acid release agent will increase the viscosity of the mixture, but also release water in the curing process of the mixture, resulting in bubbles, cracks and other problems.

Typically, the starting amount of internal release agent is 1% of the resin volume, and the effective range is based on 0.75%-2% of the resin weight.It should be adjusted appropriately according to the actual situation.

1, thin wall of the simple profile, the amount can be appropriate less, such as 0.8% or less;

2, thick wall or complex shaped profiles need more.

3. In the high packing system, the amount of internal release agent should be increased, but too much internal release agent will delay curing.

4, in the pultrusion production, if the resistance is too large and can not find the reason, it is necessary to increase the amount of release agent.In use, attention should be paid to the feeding sequence. When mixing, the internal release agent should be added to the resin system and mixed evenly before adding curing agent, filler and other resin additives.This can achieve the best release effect.
